University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test – UGC NET December, 2012 Exam is to be conducted on 30.12.2012 for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship. Total 7.8 Lakh candidates applied for UGC NET Dec 2012.
UGC NET 2012 Minimum Qualifying Marks for JRF & Lectureship
Only such candidates who obtain the minimum required cut off marks in each Paper, separately, as mentioned below, will be considered for final preparation of result. However, the final qualifying criteria for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship shall be decided by UGC before declaration of result.
The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III as given below:

“Even though candidates got minimum qualifying marks in UGC National Eligibility Test (NET), in that List of Qualifying candidates only TOP 15% candidates (According to Merit) would be selected for Lectureship. The JRF awards will be prepared from that Top 15 % Merit List only” said the secretary of University Grants Commission (UGC) in a press meet on 27.12.2012 (Thursday). i.e. only Top 15% Candidates in Merit List are eligible for UGC NET 2012 Lectureship & JRF
