There are approximately 7000 teachers on the rolls of the 133 Army Public Schools(APS) under AWES. Out of that, approximately 1000 get turned over every year. The vacancies will be projected by the Schools while advertising for holding interviews for selection of teachers at the beginning of the academic year.
To qualify for interview, the candidates have to pass a Screening Examination which is held by HQ AWES centrally. The next exam will be held on 08 Dec 2013. The general guidelines for candidates are given in the succeeding paragraphs.List of Schools
AWES is running 133 Army Public Schools across the country which are all affiliated to CBSE. A List of these schools is placed at Appendix A. Selection of Teachers Categories of Teachers The exam will be held for the posts of PGT/TGT/PRT for all subjects (List placed at Appendix B).
Vacancies. This will vary from School to School. A clear picture of vacancies existing in Schools will emerge only at the beginning of an academic year. Based on the vacancies available, schools advertise for interview. Appointments will be made as per CBSE/AWES Rules.
Registration. Candidates are expected to register ON-LINE for the screening exam by logging onto web- site http://awesindia.in . The registration portal will be open from 23 Sep 2013 to 21 Oct 2013. Candidates can register from 9AM on 23 Sep 13 to 5PM on 21 Oct 2013.
Last date of online registration: 21-10-2013
Admit Card availability Date: 11-11-2013
Written Examination Date: 08-12-2013
Results Date: 23-12-2013
Eligible criteria:
Age details: Candidates age should be below 40 years as on date 01-04-2014.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates should have done post graduation or graduation and B.Ed degree with qualification with 50% marks merit.
Application Fee: Applicants have to pay application fee Rs.600/- through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card.
Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of Screening Examination/Interview, Evaluation of Teaching skills and computer proficiency skills.
