DNB CET 2014 Results

DNB CET 2014 QUALIFYING CRITERIA

Candidates who obtain a minimum score as per category below shall be declared as “Qualified” in DNB CET and issued a PASS /QUALIFYING Certificate.

a. General Category - 50% above

b. SC/ST/OBC - 40% above

c. Persons with Disability - 45% above

DNB CET 2014 VALIDITY OF CET RESULT

The validity of the result of the DNB-CET shall be only for the current admission session i.e. January 2014 admission session only and cannot be carried forward for the next session of CET.

DNB CET 2014 DECLARATION OF RESULT

The results for DNB-CET shall be declared within 6 weeks of conduct of exam. The mark sheet-cum-result certificate for the DNB-CET examination can be downloaded from NBE website www.natboard.edu.in/CET after the declaration of result.

DNB CET 2014 TIE – BREAKER CRITERIA

In the event of two or more candidates obtaining same score the merit position shall be determined using the following tie breaker criteria in descending order:

DNB CET 2014 Based on performance of MBBS examination -

Candidate who has passed all MBBS professional examination in first attempt shall be placed at higher merit position. Candidates with higher aggregate marks(in percentage) in all MBBS Professional examination of shall be placed in higher merit position. Candidate with higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in 3RD MBBS Professional Examination (Part I and Part II) shall be placed at higher merit position. Candidate with higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in 2ND MBBS Professional Examination shall be placed at higher merit position. Candidate with higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in 1ST MBBS Professional Examination shall be placed at higher merit position.

DNB CET 2014 RESULTS – EQUATING & SCALING

The question paper of DNB-CET comprises of 200 multiple choice questions each with four options and only one correct response. Multiple question papers are used for DNB-CET for different sessions and days. A standard psychometrically-sound approach is employed for the scoring process of DNB CET. This approach has been applied to score all large scale Computer Based Examination utilizing multiple question papers.

While all papers (forms) are carefully assembled to ensure that the content is comparable, the difficulty of each form may be perceived by different subjects undertaking the test to slightly vary. Such minor differences in the overall difficulty level are accurately measured after all the different question papers (forms) have been administered and the results analyzed. A post-equating process is necessary to ensure validity and fairness.

Equating is a psychometric process to adjust differences in difficulty so that scores from different test papers (forms) are comparable on a common metric and therefore fair to candidates testing across multiple papers (forms). To facilitate this comparison, each form contains a pre-defined number of questions (items) selected from a large item bank, called an equating block, which is used as an anchor to adjust candidates scores to the metric of the item bank. Taking into account of candidates’ differential performance on these equating blocks, each individual’s raw marks are adjusted for difference in paper (form) difficulties.

During post-equating, test items are concurrently analyzed and the estimated item parameters (item difficulty and discrimination) are put onto a common metric. Item Response Theory (IRT), a psychometrically supported statistical model, is utilized in this process. The result is a statistically equated raw score that takes into account the performance of the candidate along with the difficulty of the form administered.

In order to ensure appropriate interpretation of an equated raw score, the scores must be placed on a common scale or metric. A linear transformation is used for this scaling process, which is a standard practice for such test administration. Post equating takes into account any statistical differences in examination difficulty and ensures all candidates are evaluated on a common scale. The aforesaid steps ensure that all examination scores are valid, equitable and fair. Merit List shall be prepared on the basis of scaled score obtained by the candidates. There is no provision for re-checking /re-totaling /re-evaluation of the question paper, answers, score and no query in this regard will be entertained.

CTET 2014 Application Status & Online Corrections

Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2014 Examination Online Application Date is Completed. All the Candidates who applied for CTET Feb 2014 Examination through CTET Online Application 2014 can now check their Application Status & also Reprint Confirmation Page & Update Payment details.

The Confirmation Page shall not be received personally. CBSE will not be responsible for non-receipt of Confirmation page due to any transit/postal loss. 8 days Grace Time i.e. up to 15.11.2013 for receipt of Confirmation Page will be allowed to the candidates belonging to remote areas viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi sub division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep and Foreign country.

Information regarding receipt of applications in the CTET Unit of the CBSE will be put on the CTET’s website www.ctet.nic.in, The candidates can check status of the receipt of their Application and candidate particulars on the website after 18.12.2013.

The candidates shall be permitted to make on-line correction if any in their following particulars only i.e. name, father and mother name, date of birth, category, differently abled category, Paper opted (i.e. Paper I or Paper II), Subject for Paper – II, First choice of Centre, language I and/or II opted, Address of correspondence and the name of the Institution/College/University from where he/she has obtained his/her B.Ed Degree/Diploma in Elementary Education etc. from 20.12.2013 to 03.01.2014.

In case the application of the candidate is not shown as received on CTET website www.ctet.nic.in after 18.12.2013, the candidate should approach the Assistant Secretary, CTET Unit, CBSE between 10:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M from 20.12.2013 to 03.01.2014 giving details of the Post Office, Date of Dispatch, Original Receipt of Postal Dispatch, Photostat Copy of the Confirmation Page and candidate copy of Challan if fees paid through Challan, one photograph (as pasted on the Confirmation Page).
