The NSOU is one of the open universities of the India. The university is known as the Netaji Subhas Open University. It is the premier state university of the west Bengal state. The university was established din the year 1997 on 20 August. The name of the university was given in the honor of the Netaji Subhas Chand Boss. The university was established by the act of the government of the West Bengal to open an insinuate for the distance education as an open university. The university branches are spread in other countries too with India. The university was established by bifurcated of the Netaji insinuate of Asian studies (NIAS). The university is situated in the Kolkata city in the West Bengal state.
The university is recognized by the university grant commission (UGC) and distance education council (DEC). The university is a member of the association of Indian universities (AIU), an association of the Asian open universities (AAOU) and association of commonwealth universities (ACU). Many colleges and schools of Asia are affiliated with the university.
NSOU Results 2013:-
Every year around lakhs students are getting admission in the university by different schools and colleges. The university conducts the annual university exams in the July month every year. The university announces the result within two months after the exams on their official website www.wbnsou.ac.in
