The SNDT is a women’s university of the Mumbai city. The university is known as Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey women’s university. The university was established in the year 1916 on 2nd July. The university is one of the oldest universities of the Maharashtra state. The main campus of the university is situated in the Santacruz-Juhu area of the Mumbai. The headquarters of the university is situated at the church gate in south Mumbai. The university has three campuses in which two campuses are situated in the Mumbai and one is situated in the Pune city.
The university is recognized by the university grant commission (UGC). Many colleges of the Maharashtra, Gujrat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Goa are affiliated with the university. The university is providing educational facilities to increase the education in the women society. The university provides the education facilities for both under graduation and post graduation course.
